The Alto do Pocinho White Reserva is produced in the Douro Superior sub-region, characterized by a Mediterranean climate with some continental influence and schist soils. Made from the traditional Rabigato and Viosinho grape varieties, this wine offers a unique and seductive character. Hand-harvested into 15 kg boxes, the grapes undergo crushing and total destemming with protection against early oxidation. Fermentation takes place at controlled temperatures between 20°C and 22°C, followed by stainless steel aging. With a bright yellow citrus color, this wine reveals delicate aromas from Rabigato and notable acidity from Viosinho. On the palate, it offers a marked structure, creamy texture, and a long, appealing finish. Best served at 8-10°C and pairs wonderfully with baked fish, codfish, or octopus à lagareiro.
