Dona Amélia Branco Colheita is a Douro wine that expresses all the richness and complexity of the Rabigato, Viosinho, and Malvasia Fina grape varieties. It has a clear appearance with citrus nuances. Fruity, fresh, and youthful aromas, with floral, citrus, mineral notes, and slight tropical hints. On the palate, it is fresh, with good acidity and some body, combined with a fruity and smooth taste. It can be enjoyed young or aged for some time due to its good natural acidity.
The harvest is carried out by hand, and the grapes are transported to the winery in small boxes. This is followed by total destemming, crushing, pressing, and cold decantation in stainless steel. The completely clear must is then transferred to another stainless steel tank, where it ferments at a controlled temperature of around 15ºC until all sugars are exhausted. Once the alcoholic fermentation is complete, the wine remains in stainless steel with batonnage until it is prepared for bottling, undergoing only a slight fining with mineral agents and then careful filtration before bottling to preserve its full aromatic potential. This product undergoes natural stabilisation.
A gastronomic wine, it can accompany various types of dishes, such as seafood and fish, or even lighter meat dishes and cheeses.
