The Herdade do Lousial White Curtimenta is produced in the Cova da Beira sub-region, within the D.O.C. Beira Interior region, from the Síria and Riesling grape varieties, vinified in the same manner as red wines, with full skin contact during fermentation. This process imparts an amber colour and a full-bodied structure, balanced by notable acidity. The aging in both new and used French oak barrels has refined its aroma and flavour, adding sophistication. It presents expressive, fresh, and complex aromas, with subtle wood notes. On the palate, it surprises with remarkable acidity, combined with fine tannins, which give it a powerful structure and a long finish. The winemaking process includes manual harvesting, total destemming, and gentle crushing, followed by extended skin contact and aging in barrels. This wine is best served at 8-10°C and pairs beautifully with delicate fish dishes or grilled meat.
