The Lote 5 Red Reserva is a premium wine from the Douro region with 14.5% alcohol. It is crafted from a carefully selected blend of traditional grape varieties – Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Francisca, Tinta Barroca, Tinto Cão, and Rufete. The wine undergoes vinification in lagares with traditional foot treading and strict temperature control. After fermentation, it is aged for six months in French oak barrels, adding complexity and elegance.It features a medium concentration colour and aromas dominated by toasty oak notes, with the fruit taking a secondary role. On the palate, it shows a well-balanced body and acidity, with oak as the prominent element.This wine pairs beautifully with hearty dishes such as lamprey, roast lamb, or codfish. Serve at 18ºC for the best experience.
