The Quinta dos Termos White Garrafeira is produced in the D.O.C. Beira Interior region, sub-region Cova da Beira, using Arinto and Verdelho grapes. This wine undergoes fermentation and aging in new French oak barrels for 12 months, resulting in a full-bodied, elegant, and complex wine. After bottling, it undergoes a long bottle aging process, reaching optimal maturity for consumption over the next 10 years.
The grapes are manually harvested in 15 kg boxes, with crushing and total destemming to protect against premature oxidation. Clarification is done by gravity for 18 hours, and fermentation occurs in new barrels at temperatures between 16°C and 20°C, followed by 12 months of barrel aging.
The wine has a citrine yellow colour with a bright appearance, with delicate, evolved aromas and subtle wood notes, highlighting the character of the Arinto and Verdelho grapes. On the palate, it surprises with remarkable acidity, a powerful structure, creamy texture, and a delicate retronasal aroma, providing a long and attractive finish.
Best served between 8-10°C, it pairs wonderfully with bacalhau, Zêzere trout, lamb’s liver, and cured Serra cheese.
