The Sandeman Porto Vintage Quinta do Seixo is an exceptional Port from the iconic Quinta do Seixo estate, located in the Douro region. This wine is crafted from the finest grapes of the vintage, vinified separately to capture a unique expression of the terroir. After fermentation, the wine is aged in oak barrels and then bottled without filtration to preserve its aromatic potential.
On the nose, it stands out with intense aromas of ripe black fruits such as plums and cassis, intertwined with spices and delicate floral notes. Freshness and balance are evident, with vibrant acidity countering the sweetness of the fruit and oak notes. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and lively, with firm tannins and a robust structure, ensuring excellent aging potential. The finish is long and persistent, with a complex array of flavours.
With 20% alcohol, the Sandeman Porto Vintage Quinta do Seixo can be enjoyed now but has great aging potential, evolving and gaining complexity over time. It pairs beautifully with meat dishes, aged cheeses, or chocolate-based desserts and nuts. Serve at 16ºC to 18ºC, in a large glass, and, if possible, decant before serving. Store the bottle horizontally in a cool, dry place, away from light.
